MAY 2006 MEETING REPORT

The president Mrs. Bid Trip welcomed members to the May meeting of Lynsted-w-Teynham W.I. and presented a birthday spray to Mrs. May Moore. The May meeting is the Resolution meeting, and this year the Resolutions under discussion were, Renewable Energy and the sources, such as wind, solar and water.  The second one was Sport for a Healthy Population.  After a discussion the vote was taken, this will be presented by our delegate at the Annual General Meeting at Cardiff in June.

After refreshments, served by hostess’s Mrs Frances Greenfield and Mrs. Peggy Ainsworth, members were asked to order their lunch for the day out in July. Mrs. Sue Maylam will be hostess at the Barbeque on the 16th July and the Garden Party on the 9th August. The Sewing Circle, The Book Group and Ladies who Lunch have all proved popular and are well attended.

Flower of the Month was won by an Azalea entered by Mrs. Joyce Brightman and the competition for an object beginning with “v” was won by Mrs. Barbara Hodges with a bunch of vegetables.

The next meeting will be on the 7th June at 2.15pm at the Labour Hall.
