It also offers you a chance to pay towards projects that will help compensate for any carbon dioxide you are responsible for. As “ethical” presents (goats and things) become more popular, you can also buy emissions certificates as gifts for others. For example, the most expensive gift listed is £110, which offsets emissions for 150 guests and the happy couple’s honeymoon flights. Equivalent to 14.5 tonnes of CO2! For a couple that has everything!
