More events around Lynsted: Lynsted Society - Community Orchard - Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men (Lynsted Branch) - but check Pew News, Women’s Institute and  our pages for Visiting the Area too.  To entertain children (OK, the parents too) throughout the year and throughout the country, visit the Primary Times website.
New to the area? There are many regular meetings and events that will help you meet your neighbours, no matter what your age - from youth club to Coffee mornings to “Drones” lunch.

Norton Art Group10am - 4pm. Norton Art Group Exhibition. Come and view, and purchase if you wish, artwork from members of your local Norton Art Group. Also learn more about this group, who meet regularly on Wednesday afternoons (2pm) at Norton Village Hall.

8pm: Lynsted with Kingsdown Society will host talk by Paul Smith about the archaeological finds in Perry Wood. Venue: Greenstreet Methodist Church Hall, Lynsted Lane.  Admission: free to members, £3 non-members

13 March

Association of Men of Kent and Kentish MenAssociation of Men of Kent & Kentish Men  (Lynsted Branch) - a team will compete in Faversham Branch’s annual Quiz.  To join the team, contact Ray Clark (521499). 3pm: Chalkfoot Theatre Arts presents “The Riddle of the Sands”.  Second tour by public demand prior to London run. Venue: Teynham Community Hall.

7.30: Faversham Choral Society performs Rutter’s Requiem and his Gloria with other pieces.  All with orchestral accompaniment.

7.30-10.30: "The Musicals" Wine and Wisdom. The Rotary Club of Faversham - Charity Event in support of “Send a Cow” charity. Tickets £10 a head with tables of eight. Event Malawi7.30 pm: Quiz Night in support of the Community Overseas Aid Project.  Venue: Doddington Village Hall.  £6 per head which includes a hearty supper of lasagnes, green salad and crusty bread followed by a slice of home-made cake.  Bring you own drink and glasses.  Raffle. Tables of 6-8.

Thomas Clarke Quire: This promises to be a highly entertaining evening. Lynsted with Kingsdown Society will host a performance of Georgian period music by the Thomas Clarke Quire in Lynsted Church in period dress - also snacks and punch drinks (including non-alcoholic ones) from that period during the interval. 10-noon: LOCAL HISTORY MORNING: Lynsted with Kingsdown Society will hold an event in Lynsted Church Community Room when you are invited to bring your photographs, slides, documents, newspaper cuttings relating to the Parish (Cellar Hill, Greenstreet/London Road, Lynsted village, Tickham, Erriotwood, Kingsdown and other areas in the Parish or nearby).  The plan is to build an archive of how our communities have grown and developed over the years.  Visit the Society web site to learn more or contact them using parishrecords@lynsted.com. A second event will take place on 15th May in the Greenstreet Methodist Church Hall in Lynsted Lane.  The events are free - tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
