Photography Competition

Deadline for entries set!

To allow the photographs to be assessed and winners chosen, entries must be with John Disney by Friday 20th June. The winners will be presented with their prizes - plus a double punnet of cherries – in the Community Orchard on Cherry Day, Sunday 20th July.

So: keep those shutters shuttling and pictels prancing.  The cherries are already forming on the boughs!

Entry is free. Judging will start after the June deadline for entries.

Categories: 
1. Seasons. Photographs of the Orchard at any season of the year.
2. Events. Photographs of an Orchard event: Cherry Day, school visits, Halloween Party, Blossom Day.

There is a children’s (12 and under) section in both Categories.  
There will be an Adult prize of £20 for the winning entry in each category, and prizes for the winning children.

Please state, with your photograph entry, the Category, and include your name, address and telephone number.  Receipt of e-mail entries will be confirmed. Every effort will be made to return prints. The winning images will be used to promote the Community Orchard, in displays at local events, on our website, and in calendars, bookmarks and greeting cards.  Images so used will not identify any individuals without their permission.

There is a public right-of-way across the Orchard, between the gates, so there is ready access at all times. One gate is near the junction of Toll Lane and Lynsted Lane, the other is off the drive on Lynsted Lane marked ‘Park Farm’. Please keep dogs under control. Sheep and lambs may be present!
