Report for May 2007

Mrs. Ann Diamond welcomed members to the May meeting, she then presented a spray of flowers to Mrs May Moore whose birthday it is this month. Lynsted-w-Teynham W.I will host the Group Quiz to be held on the 23rd May at 7pm, volunteers where needed for a team and to assist with refreshments.  Members where then brought up to date with the arrangements for the visit, in July, to Aylesford Priory. 

There is only one Resolution this year and that is calling for an end to the closure of Community Hospitals. After a short discussion, a vote was taken and was passed unanimously. Our Link delegate will cast our vote at the N.F.W.I. Annual General Meeting at the Royal Albert Hall in June.

Members were then able to enjoy the refreshments prepared by Joyce Playford and Frances Fairfield. Future events were discussed and members were asked to add their names to the lists of any they wish to attend

Winner of the flower of the month was a `Snowball` entered by Barbara Dale and the winner of the competition was Barbara Hodges. . 

The next meeting will be on the 6th June at 2.15pm at the Labour Hall.
