Report for March 2008

At the March meeting of Lynsted with Teynham W.I. Members welcomed Graham Tuff who is the Officer for Green Spaces at Swale Borough Council.  He gave us a very informative talk on how Church Marshes Toxic Landfill site is being transformed into a lovely Country Park for us all to enjoy.  He also talked about Oare Gunpowder Works at Faversham.

Birthday Sprays were presented to Joyce Cheeseman, Yvonne Tatton and Francis Greenfield and we all congratulated Barbara Skilton and her husband John on their
Golden Wedding.

The next W.I. meeting will be on Wednesday 2nd April at the Community Hall, Station Road, Teynham starting at 2.15pm when Paula Trower will be giving a talk on painting with Watercolours.  Anyone wishing to join us would be most welcome.
