Invitation from Swale Borough Council’s “Staying Put” Team

The Living in Safety Event 2005.

You will find advice on how the over 60's can live a safe, independent and healthy life.  The meeting will be held at The Alexander Centre, Preston Street, Faversham on Tuesday, October 4 from 10.30am to 2.00pm. Admission is free.

The No.333 Arriva Bus does stop nearby on Stone Street.

The event includes new age curling, graceful fitness, healthy food tasting, health checks, prizes and lots of stands with information to help the over 60's live in safety.  For more information contact Staying Put, the free advice service for the over 60s, on 01795 417131 or email stayingput@ swale.gov.uk.

The “Staying Put” Scheme also offers advice to owner occupiers or private tenants who need practical assistance to repair, adapt or improve their homes. For example, if you need advice or help with:

  • Minor repairs e.g. broken windows, roof repairs, plumbing work, etc
  • Dampness
  • Rewiring
  • Loft Insultation
  • Draught Proofing
  • Improved Heating
  • Replacement Windows
  • Locks and Security Work
  • Adaptations for the disabled such as Downstairs w.c., Ramps, Stairlifts, etc.
