Faversham Disabled Club
The Faversham Disabled Club, a branch of the Kent Association for Disabled People, has recently started meeting in the
Teynham Community Hall Station Road Monday afternoons between 1.00 and 4.30 p.m.
It is essentially a social club for disabled people. We have a mini bus adapted with a tail lift and transport can be provided from your front door to the club and, of course, home again.
We have about 15 members at present and would very much welcome new members. We have some from locally in Teynham and some from Faversham where the club was started in 1967. At the normal Monday meetings, the members meet, have a cup of tea and biscuits, have a chat and then we have a raffle and play bingo.
We do try to arrange outings to other branches and if a driver is available have a summer outing and a Christmas lunch. Why not drop in on a Monday and see what it’s like.
If you need transport or any other information, telephone Vernon on: 533709.
