You can view images of Fetes for the last few of years as well as this year’s event. But what about much earlier photographs - do you have any?

David and Peggy Bage in 1956. Their first fete at the Vicarage, “when we were doing hot dogs, long before the days of ready made barbecues and readily available charcoal for sale. I built up two lines of bricks surmounted with the shelves from our old discarded cooker and spent all morning burning wood in the space between them till I had built up a good sustainable fire. We borrowed two large frying pans - one to cook the sausages (from Peter Blain – an excellent local butcher at the time) and the other for the onions. The project was a great success. Peggy got the idea of doing hot dogs from a fete we attended during the summer on Faversham recreation ground.”
